HEIDENREICH
Honorable Mention: AJ Styles vs. Jerry Lynn vs. Low Ki (TNA Weekly PPV, 8/7/02) This was a match over the X-Division and they couldn't have had three better competitors at the time than these three men to put on one hell of a display. This match was unbelievably fast paced and was highlighted by all three men hitting the finishing move of one of their opponents and having some amazing near falls. The match saw a weird ending where AJ hit the Spinal Tap on Low Ki to try to break up a pin that Ki had on Jerry Lynn, but the ref didn't recognize the interference and counted the pin anyway. That knocked the match down a peg, but it still cant take away from the fact that this is one of the best triple threat matches ever. Honorable Mention: Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show vs. Kurt Angle(Vengeance '03) Going into this match, people were expecting a solid match but nothing too memorable and this match wound up exceeding everybody's expectations. All three men (yes, even Big Show) contributed perfectly to the match and the flow and pacing were unbelievable. Seeing Lesnar give Big Show a running powerbomb(granted, Show was on the turnbuckle when Lesnar powerbombed him) and Angle give Show an Angle Slam through the announce table were very impressive. What makes this match even better was the fact that Angle won the title even though everybody and their great grandmamma thought that Lesnar would retain. Great match, memorable stuff. 10) Chris Benoit vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels (Backlash '04) This was the sequel to their classic Wrestlemania match and these three guys put on a performance that was damn near the level of their first encounter. The Canadian crowd definitely added to this match because they cheered Benoit with an unrivaled passion and booed his opposition, especially Shawn Michaels. The spot where Michaels had Benoit in the sharpshooter with Earl Hebner acting as referee was glorious as the crowd heat was unbelievable. Having Michaels tap out to the sharpshooter in Canada to a Canadian hero was almost the perfect way to repay the Canadian fans for what happened in Montreal. Emphasis on Almost. 9) John Cena vs. Christian vs. Chris Jericho (Vengeance '05) John Cena was the new kid on the block on Raw and he immediately got picked on by the neighborhood bullies, Christian and Chris Jericho. Christian had been baiting Cena for a while by comparing him to Marky Mark and talking about how he would take out Cena in a snap. A match between the two men seemed inevitable once Cena arrived on the Raw scene, but Jericho stuck his nose in their business once he saw a chance at getting Cena's gold. These three put on a phenomenal match that was straight action from bell to bell, but what else would you expect from superstars the caliber of Jericho and Christian and the master of the triple threat, John Cena. 8) Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit (Smackdown, 9/26/02) This was a match in Rey's hometown of San Diego so the fans were absolutely rabid for him. These three men went out and did what they do best which is put on kickass matches. Rey's various high flying moves was a perfect combination with Angle and Benoit's technical prowess. Everytime it seemed that Rey Rey was out of the match, he would fly in to break up a pin only to be thrown on his ass again by Benoit or Angle. The end saw Rey hit a West Coast Pop on Benoit after Angle got dumped on the floor. Needless to say, the hometown crowd went ballistic as their boy Rey had beat two of the best pure wrestlers EVER. 7) John Cena vs. Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Michaels (Taboo Tuesday '05) In the second go round in the John Cena/Kurt Angle feud, many people were left umimpressed due to the great matches that these two had in previous years. Who knew that adding HBK in the mix would provide for an absolutely awesome match. This match already had the unenviatable task of going on after a fantastic cage match between HHH and Ric Flair and was able to put on a match on par with that match. Having two ring generals like Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels face off against the master of the triple threat match, Cena, was only going to result in greatness. These three put on a fantastic showing that could rival many other triple threat matches in terms of match quality. 6) Kurt Angle vs. The Rock vs. The Undertaker (Vengeance '02) This was actually my favorite triple threat match of all time before Wrestlemania XX came along and blew all other triple threat matches out of the water. This match was absolute excellence and was so good in fact that it turned a lot of naysayers, who stated before the match that triple threat matches were played out, into believers that triple threat matches can be great when done correctly. All three men held their own in this match, but Kurt was definitely the glue and brought this match from the "good" level into the "fucking awesome" level. The E is including this match on their History of The WWE Championship DVD and it's for good reason because this match is a joy to watch. The perfect definition of a fun match. 5) Samoa Joe vs. Brian Danielson vs. KENTA (ROH In Your Face, 6/17/06) This match was the perfect definition of three guys just going inside a ring and beating the holy shit out of each other. The stiff, brutal shots that these guys hit each other with were strong enough to make even the most hardcore wrestling fan cringe a bit. There were so many unbelievable moves and sequences in this match that it would take quite a while to talk about all of them. The ending came when KENTA hit Danielson with the Go To Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep to pin the ROH World Champion clean in the ring. This is definitely the match to see for fans of hard hitting, stiff matches. 4) Brian Danielson vs. Low Ki vs. Christopher Daniels (ROH Era Of Honor Begins, 2/23/02) This was the first show for Ring Of Honor and this match was the perfect way to introduce fans to the ROH style of wrestling. All three men are incredibly talented and when they faced off against one another, it resulted in one of the most incredible matches I've ever seen. The brutal moves and high risk spots that they hit each other with were unbelievable, but there was also plenty of technical wrestling in it that lifted it above being just a spotfest. The ending saw Low Ki hit a Phoenix Press on Danielson while he had Daniels in the Cattle Mutilation and then lift up Daniels and drill him with the Ki Krusher to become the first ROH World Champion. Historic, brilliant match. 3) John Cena vs. Triple H vs. Edge (Backlash '06) I may be a bit biased with this one since I just watched my Backlash tape a couple days ago, but this match is fucking AWESOME. I expected this match to be pretty good, but this match was absolutely brilliant and deserves to be on any top 10 list for 2006. HHH was bleeding all over the place like a MAN, Cena did his usual goodness in triple threat matches, and Edge was the glue that made everything about this match flawless. Everyone was under the impression that Trips was going to beat Cena in this match after tapping out cleanly to him at WM22, but we were all shocked when HHH took the loss AGAIN by getting rolled up by Cena. Absolutely great match. 2) Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels (Unbreakable '05) There was no doubt in the minds of many TNA fans that the three most talented men in the company were AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels so it was only natural to want to see these three greats lock it up. The fans had their wish come true when these three faced off for the first time and gave everyone a match to remember for years to come. They were able to combine hard hitting kicks and chops with death defying, high flying moves as well as some technical wrestling. Seeing AJ do a shooting star press from the ring ropes onto Joe and Daniels is still something that flashes through my head repeatedly. These men had a lot to live up to when the match began and they not only met the bar that was set, they surpassed it. 1) Chris Benoit vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels (Wrestlemania XX) Come on, could there possibly be another number one? This is the epitome of a triple threat match, everything about it was perfect. It was the main event at the biggest wrestling event of the year and it had a great backstory with Chris Benoit being the man that always seemed to have the World Title out of his grasp and finally had a shot to secure it. The match was just complete action for the entire duration and there was honestly never a dull moment. Whether it was HBK performing a diving moonsault onto Trips and Benoit or HHH and Michaels bleeding like animals or Benoit being put through an announce table or the glorious ending where HHH tapped out cleanly to Benoit in the middle of the ring to give the Wolverine his first World Heavyweight Championship(the WCW one doesn't really count) and he finally achieved the recognition that he deserved all along. Perfect match that I could NEVER get sick of watching. Quote Link to comment
djihad
Radox
Quote Link to comment
Dani_ebe
20. Quote Link to comment
Shawn_Michaels
Quote "Doin' what I want to do, When I want to do it." Link to comment
Brock_Lesnar
Quote Класика от миналото: Jericho vs Benoit 🇨🇦 vs 🇨🇦 Най-добрите вражди на Kurt Angle в WWE: vs Edge vs Benoit vs Triple H vs Eddie vs HBK vs Austin vs Cena vs Lesnar vs The Rock Най-доброто за годината от WWE: 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 Link to comment
UltraMadd
5. Kurt Angle vs. The Rock vs. The Undertaker (Vengeance '02)
Quote Link to comment
