I came in to see Lacey beating Allison Danger with an Implant DDT. There were probably some pre-show matches before that but I did not get the results.

Main show

1) Davey Richards beat Jimmy Rave. Pretty long match at over 15 minutes. Richards got the win with a double underhook brainbuster, and the crowd seemed into him.

2) Shane Hagadorn beat Derrick Dempsey via submission to win the Top Student trophy. Match was OK but the crowd wasn't into it.

3) Sara Del Ray beat Daizee Haze via submission. Match was fine, but again the crowd hurt it (this was not a Shimmer crowd to say the least). Afterwards Bryan Danielson came out and put over Del Ray (and himself, since he trained her), and vowed ROH would never return to CT as long as he had anything to do about it.

4) Colt Cabana beat Jason Blade, Delirious, and Adam Pearce. Lots of comedy with Colt and Delirious. Match was fine but the ending came out of nowhere, as Colt made Blade tap to a ground octupus hold, as Delirious was still climbing the top rope.

5) Christopher Daniels beat BJ Whitmer. This was supposed to be a grudge match, but beforehand Whitmer got on the mic and said after feuding with CZW he learned what hate really is, and he didn't hate Daniels. He wanted a staight up match to see who was the best wrestler. Match was fine but the crowd wasn't into it. Whitmer kicked out of the Angels Wings but lost to the Best Moonsault Ever. Afterwards Daniels puts Whitmer over and Allison Danger and BJ make up after their feud a year ago.

Intermission

6) Shingo Takagi beat Ricky Reyes. Fairly short match at five minutes or so. Takagi won with a sitout F-5. They worked well together and I'd like to see a longer match between the two.

7) Bryan Danielson beat Homicide via ref stoppage to retain the ROH title. Samoa Joe came out beforehand to tell Homicide he appreciated his efforts in the war against CZW, and stayed to ring announced (announcing Danielson as "your temporary ROH champion" and "the palest wrestler in the world). Long match at 25 minutes, and really great stuff. Danielson kept working the arm and Homicide made a comeback. Lots of nearfalls. Finally Danielson kept elbowing Homicide's hurt arm and Todd Sinclair stopped it. Homicide complained he never quit, and the crowd wanted five more minutes. Adam Pierce came out with a cell phone, talking to Jim Cornette, but said that in the interest of wrestler safety, he was upholding the ref's decision. Homicide freaked out and attacked ref Todd Sinclair. In the melee Danielson gave Joe a chop block and took out his leg. Homicide then got on the mic and said he was tired of getting screwed over and quit, which prompted ECW chants. Everything, from the wrestling to the angle to the crowd heat was top notch stuff.

8) Austin Aries & Roderick Strong beat Jay & Mark Briscoe to retain the ROH tag titles. Good match, but the crowd was burnt out after a long night and the prior match. Strong pinned one of the Briscoes after a top rope dropkick/powerbomb combo from the champs. Post match, Aries announced that Generation Next was formed to take the top spots in ROH, and with Matt Sydal and Jack Evans in Japan, and Aries and Strong as the tag champs, they had done just that, so he was dissolving the Gen Next name.

Good show, especially the second half. Stevie Richards was there but did not appear. They announced a return on Septermber the 15th.
