nWoHulkster
Quote MGM TELEVISION PARTNERS WITH WOW – WOMEN OF WRESTLING Mark Burnett and Jeanie Buss Form Powerful Tag Team to Champion New Content For Television and Digital Platforms Los Angeles, CA (April 20th, 2017) – Mark Burnett, MGM’s President, Television Group & Digital, and Jeanie Buss, Los Angeles Lakers Owner and President, announced a strategic partnership today to develop new content across a range of unscripted programming and digital formats for the popular WOW-Women Of Wrestling (WOW). MGM with its proven track record of building successful unscripted franchises (Survivor, Shark Tank, The Voice) will work with WOW and its troupe of WOW Superheroes – a diversified group of athletic over-the-top characters, villains and heroines that include the notorious tag team, Caged Heat, Delta Lotta Pain and Loca, The Governor's Daughter, Abilene Maverick, The Dagger and newcomer, The Alpha Athlete, Adrenaline – as they begin production on their fifth season of the series. Emmy Award®- winning Burnett and his team of producers headed by President of Unscripted Programming for MGM Television, Barry Poznick, will work in tandem with WOW’s Founder and President, David McLane, the impresario behind the ’80s hit women's wrestling television series, the Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling (GLOW), to create content for potential use across networks, digital platforms, cable and multicast networks. “By challenging the status quo in transforming women's wrestling for the past two years, we feel WOW is now positioned for tremendous growth,” said WOW Owner Jeanie Buss. “We are very excited to have MGM’s incredible management team, headed by Chairman and CEO Gary Barber and Mark Burnett, in place to grow our business model.” “Barry and I witnessed first-hand the enormous global fan base of professional wrestling with our team's production of Lucha Underground,” Burnett noted. “We were looking to expand on our experience doing Lucha, and WOW felt like a natural progression in the space. We love what Jeanie has developed and share in her vision of transforming this entertainment landscape. Together, we will look to elevate the WOW brand through creative production and enhanced character-driven storytelling.” This is MGM Television's third partnership in the sports arena with Lucha Underground in its third season and its previously announced partnership with the Drone Racing League. Quote JEANIE BUSS AND MGM TELEVISON TAG AXS TV TO BROADCAST WOW-WOMEN OF WRESTLING EVENTS The Dominant All-Women’s Professional Wrestling League, From The Founder of the Original GLOW, Sets 2019 Event Distribution Los Angeles, CA - June 18, 2018 – Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, Mark Burnett, President of MGM Television and Digital Group and David McLane, the impresario behind the ’80s hit TV series GLOW (Gorgeous Ladies Of Wrestling), have tapped AXS TV to bring the emerging hit series “WOW-Women Of Wrestling” (WOW) to a wider U.S. TV audience. AXS TV, which is a partnership between Mark Cuban, Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), TV and radio personality Ryan Seacrest and talent agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), will provide the television production and cable, satellite and telco distribution for WOW events. The matches pit skilled, compelling wrestlers against each other, as their unique personalities generate intense feelings from WOW’s large and dedicated fan base. “I knew of Jeanie’s passion for elevating women’s wrestling for several years, so when Mark Burnett told me what MGM Studios has planned for WOW, I decided to get involved,” AXS TV Chairman and CEO Mark Cuban said. “AXS TV’s long-term success inside the squared circle and broadcasting New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) makes airing WOW a natural fit.” Indeed, with the box office success of Wonder Woman, the hit streaming series GLOW (inspired by McLane’s original franchise) and the marketplace embracing the empowerment of women, all indicators point to WOW becoming the success that Buss envisions. “Fortunately, I grew up knowing that the key to building a winner starts with teamwork,” WOW owner Jeanie Buss said. “I’m so thankful that Mark Burnett and his MGM Studios, and now Mark Cuban’s AXS TV, are all part of our WOW team. AXS TV will provide a valuable platform to boost audience awareness of our WOW Superheroes, help grow our digital ecosystem and provide the best in women’s wrestling to the millions of fans who want to see powerful, confident women do battle in the ring.” AXS TV will start recording WOW events in Los Angeles later this year, for broadcast beginning in early 2019. nWoHulkster
Tessa Blanchard, The Beast, Fire, Eye Candy, Khloe Hurtz, Abilene Maverick
Quote ‘WOW – Women of Wrestling’ Renewed for Season 2 by AXS TV TV’s only all-female weekly wrestling show is David McLane’s follow-up to the original “GLOW” AXS TV has renewed “WOW – Women of Wrestling” for Season 2. The next run gets three times as many episodes — 24 — than Season 1. The all-female professional wrestling league — and the only one with a weekly TV show — is owned by David McLane and Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss. “WOW” is McLane’s follow-up to the original “GLOW,” which has been adapted into a scripted dramedy on Netflix. “‘WOW’ is proud to partner with AXS TV to bring this incredible promotion to viewers across the country,” Buss said in a statement Wednesday. “It is an honor to be able to continue this organization’s long tradition of showcasing the absolute best in all-female wrestling. The women of WOW appeal to a wide and diverse audience because of their strength, competitive spirit, and impressive athleticism, and the tremendous viewer response we’ve received is proof of that. This season was just the beginning, and we are all excited to build on our initial success with the delivery of new episodes airing in fall.” “We listened to the fans as to what they wanted to see in women’s wrestling and are extremely pleased with the overwhelming response we’ve received from the viewers, it has been truly incredible,” McLane added. “Our Superheroes are authentic and real, and that comes across in each episode. People are captivated by their unique personalities, and they truly get invested in their stories — we are so happy they love tuning in to cheer on their favorite wrestlers. We look forward to providing our viewers with even more insights into the back stories of these amazing athletes and their epic battles with WOW’s future episodes on AXS TV.” The “WOW” Season 1 finale airs Friday, March 8 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on AXS TV. It will include the first tag-team match of the season, as well as a title match between reigning champ Tessa Blanchard and the “Monster of Madness” Jessicka Havok. In addition to sharing the renewal news, on a Wednesday conference call with media, McLane said he is opening the WOW Training Center in Long Beach, California. It will be the first all-women’s wrestling school in the United States. Blanchard and fellow WOW “Superhero” — which is the term “Women of Wrestling” uses to brand its competitors — Selina Majors will be trainers. “I am happy to join Selina Majors in providing women with a fully comprehensive training program designed specifically for them,” Blanchard said. “I was trained by men, and while that worked for me, I know a more supportive community for women wanting to join our profession will increase the participation.” Момчил and krriiissss 2 Quote Link to comment

nWoHulkster
ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group has already secured clearance in 160 markets, representing 70 percent of the United States via licensing agreements with deals that include CBS-owned-and-operated stations and Sinclair Broadcast Group. nWoHulkster
Quote WOW Talent Claim Tessa Blanchard Had A Falling Out With WOW It seems as if WOW Women of Wrestling is already facing issues, if people in the company are to be believed. Via sources that work for WOW in a talent capacity, Fightful has been informed of allegations of issues surrounding Tessa Blanchard and WOW, after the brand looked to serve as a rehabilitation project for her. After Blanchard deactivated her social media, Fightful was told WOW sources that there has been a bit of a fallout between the two sides. We do not know her status for this week's WOW tapings, but that will likely paint a broader picture. The issue within verifying the information is that many of the people who work for WOW have signed non-disclosure agreements and fear backlash from the company or Blanchard when speaking out. Based on those we've spoken to, many within WOW seem to think both have more power within wrestling than they actually do. One source alleges that in a class in mid-April, Blanchard cut a promo on wrestler Samantha Sage, who is known as Americana. We're told that the promo saw Blanchard "tear apart" Sage, leading to many trainees speaking up. Per the source, acting classes were canceled from that point until further notice. At least one trainee was told that Blanchard would be less involved moving forward, but that's hardly confirmed. We reached out to Sage but didn't hear back. Another source indicated that Tessa Blanchard is no longer in charge of training talent, and Selina Majors has been brought back to handle that moving forward. Another anonymous source said "If you are a fan of Tessa, you'd better learn Spanish," implying that she would have to work in Mexico. The 26-year old Blanchard has wrestled only one match in the last two years, which was to drop the Warrior Wrestling Title to Kylie Rae in the fall of 2020. One former WOW star speculated as far as saying that they believe Tessa is gone from the company, but we haven't confirmed as much. We reached out to WOW in an official capacity weeks ago, but haven't heard back. There was a major shift in the plans for WOW last fall, which will tell you more about in the coming days. WOW имат TV записи тази седмица. krriiissss 1 Quote Link to comment
nWoHulkster
