Само седмица преди първото им шоу на американска земя за годината, NJPW обявиха card-овете за американското турне. Съпоставено с предишните американски NJPW шоута, на тези няма да видим никои от големите японски звезди, а шоутата са запълнени с кечисти от ROH и американското NJPW dojo. Това естествено разгневи интернет феновете, като доста са се набили със скъпи билети, защото са си мислили, че ще бъдат на нивото на предишните. Cards still haven’t been announced for the U.S. shows on 1/30 in Los Angeles at the Globe Theater, 2/1 at the Grady Cole Center in Charlotte and 2/2 in Nashville at the War Memorial. The reason is that they have a policy, unlike some companies, where they want the advertised lineup to take place exactly. The issue was they were trying to get visas for some of the talent and due to the wonderful political climate with government workers not getting paid and not working, many visas were in a holding pattern for a long time which delayed the card announcements. At this point the delays were such that even if everything cleared up this week, it would still be a few weeks before they could be processed or past the point of these shows. They felt that 1/24 was the deadline for announcing the cards and thus the shows had to be changed from the original plans. The key guys this affected were Tomohiro Ishii and Yuji Nagata, who were supposed to be the headliners, as well as Hirooki Goto (who was supposed to be programmed with Jeff Cobb) and I think Satoshi Kojima (that wasn’t confirmed to me but the name was mentioned and he wasn’t booked in Japan) and Jushin Liger.
