New Japan Pro-Wrestling celebrated their 42nd anniversary today by having a sold out show in the same arena their first show took place in back in 1972. It was also their first show in the building in 13 years.

The show started with a 10-bell salute to the legendary Billy Robinson, who just passed away.

El Desperado attacked Liger after their match to try and provoke him into a singles match. Liger agreed but raised the ante, suggesting a Mask vs. Mask Match!

In the opening match Minoru Suzuki only used moves of Antonio Inoki and Karl Gotch as a homage to the first ever New Japan main event match.
