Интервю със Sin Cara (Mistico)

От вчера, в Мексико. Първото му post-WWE интервю.

 

= He said he owns the rights to the Sin Cara character and will continue using it in Mexico. His attorneys will handle it all as he has proof of ownership. He's not concerned about any legal issue. Also, when he left CMLL he had no problem leaving the Mistico name and he took the Sin Cara name with him to WWE.

= When asked about his WWE status he said he was out of his WWE contract and had the option to return but probably would not. He added that he will talk more about this situation once he has the paperwork in his hand [this may have been in reference to the rights issue].

= He admitted that his time in the United States hurt him both physically and mentally. Said he looked awful on WWE TV. Since returning to Mexico he's spent a ton of time working on his body and getting in better shape. He said that in WWE they never let him do what he did best as Mistico, which he thought was weird because he felt they signed him wanting him to do what he did best. He wrestled his debut match and afterwards was told not to do certain things so he felt like they limited what he could do. He said that really affected him mentally and it led to him not working as hard, gaining weight, etc. but now he's once again focused and looking forward to wrestling again in Mexico.

= He was surprised WWE didn't do more with him because his merchandise was quite popular. Despite not getting a major push in WWE the Sin Cara merchandise sold better than a lot of established names in the company. He said that at one point his merchandise was the second best selling only behind John Cena.

= Spoke very highly of Rey Mysterio.

= Said The Rock and Rey Mysterio are the most humble people in WWE. The Rock came up to him one day at the gym and told him he's a fan of his work.

= Said he got hurt more often in WWE than he ever did in Mexico.

= He's close to 100% healthy. His last injury was the finger injury, which he suffered in a match with Alberto Del Rio.

= Said that Hunico was both the Sin Cara he unmasked and the one that took over the role in WWE in December. He pointed out that it's no secret since it's been mentioned online already. He said he has nothing against Hunico and understands that he's only doing what he is being told. Hunico and him did road trips together in WWE so they're cool with each other. Hunico is just doing his job. The only time they had an issue was back in the day when they were both using the Mistico name at the same time but that is water under the bridge. He said Hunico's a good guy and he isn't upset with him or the new Mistico about any name issues since they are told what to do by the promotions they work for.

= Said he has no problem with Alberto Del Rio either.

= He admitted to not knowing any English but said he can speak a little Japanese (before becoming Mistico he lived and wrestled in Japan for two years). He doesn't like the English language and didn't study it while in WWE. He feels that you shouldn't need to communicate in the ring - the wrestling should do all the talking. The fans need to feel like everything isn't planned ahead.

= He'll be using a slightly different Sin Cara mask going forward. With the new mask you can see his eyes, like in his Mistico days. He said he's showing his eyes because everyone in Mexico remembers him that way.

= He talked about his Sin Cara Gym in Mexico City being open for a year now. Said he's proud of it and thankful for the fans who visit. He mentioned the wrestling show he will put on to celebrate the gym's 1-year anniversary on February 1st. Some of the wrestlers announced are Black Warrior and El Oriental (who both lost their masks to Mistico/Sin Cara) and his brothers (Argenis, Argos & Mini Murder Clown). The show will be free for the fans and outside on the street near his gym. He also said there would be a surprise too. It appears Sin Cara will wrestle Black Warrior in a match, but it was not specified if it will be a singles match or a trios match.

= He's opening a wrestling school in his gym and plans to bring in really good maestros to train young talent.

= He's tentatively booked for an indy date in Tijuana on March 1st.

= He will most likely start out as an independent but he's open to wrestling for any promotion whether it's CMLL, AAA or TXT.

= He's looking at guys like LA Park and Dr. Wagner Jr. as his potential rivals on the independent scene.

= Rocky Romero was the one who he first saw use a variation of La Mistica on Virus. He mentioned La Mistica was a move that came about by mistake as he slipped trying to do a headscissors while training with his uncle Tony Salazar and rather than falling flat on his face he held onto the arm and La Mistica was born.

= Said he doesn't like tattoos. Someone suggested he get a tattoo so people would know it was him back in his Mistico days. When he was Mistico at the peak he was getting booked for 5-6 shows a day and some magazines and newspapers didn't believe it was him so he invited a few reporters to spend a day with him to prove that it was.

= He has no problem with the new Mistico and is proud of him doing reasonably well but it bothers him that some promoters use his Mistico image to sell tickets as opposed to the current one. He wishes the new Mistico well but he's not at his level.

= He claimed that both Rush and the new Mistico were proteges of his when they first started [which is not true].

= He is thankful for El Satanico training him. Great trainer.

= He thinks the reason he succeeded as Mistico was because he was different from everyone else that was headlining at the time.

= He tried to get his brothers work in CMLL back in the day and the higher-ups refused. It bothers him that they're ok with doing it now with others like Rush's family but didn't do it for him when he was their biggest draw.

= He will always be thankful to CMLL owner Paco Alonso and CMLL for giving him the opportunity because without him WWE wouldn't have noticed him and he wouldn't have traveled the world. However, he doesn't think highly of some of CMLL's bookers.

= Said that he recently saw Blue Panther and Negro Casas and that he greeted them and showed them respect, which a lot of young wrestlers don't seem to do these days. He said he was so thankful for both of them helping him learn so much about lucha libre.

= After being complementary of the new Mistico earlier in the interview he then changed his tune and called him a jerk. He thinks CMLL make the new Mistico's tag team partners cut down on what they do so that he can shine.

= At one point during the interview he claimed he came up with the Mistico character and then at another point said it was CMLL who came up with it.

Дори не знаех, че е напуснал WWE. От федерацията засега не са пенсионирали образа му и ще видим съдебните дела докъде ще доведат нещата. Факт е обаче, че престоя му в WWE беше провал. Вярно, че явно са ограничили арсенала му, но с това мълчание така и не влезе в някакъв контакт с публиката. А целта сигурно е била да замести Рей Мистерио в дългосрочен план като мексиканската звезда на федерацията. Това обаче така и не стана. За съжаление не успяхме и да видим мач между него и Мистерио, тъй като двамата така и не се засякоха в добро здраве по едно и също време. Първите му мачове бяха интересни, след това останалите започнаха твърде много да си приличат, а и допускаше явни botch-ове и интересът към него спадна драстично. Алберто Дел Рио също не се оказва новото мексиканско лице на федерацията и от WWE ще трябва да търсят друго име най-вероятно. El Generico, който беше на AWR шоуто в София, е възможен кандидат, но доколкото бях чел са му махнали маската, с което му скапват образа в NXT.

Бахти мухляра, друго не мога да кажа. Гьонсурат пълен - мразел бил английски и затова не си бил и правил труда да го учи. Пълен дроп. Как го издържаха толкова време и какво им е било, не ща и да си представям.

Притежава правата на терлиците на баба си, WWE ще го схрускат тоя, ако се стигне до съдебни дела. На тази тема са маниаци - образи, имена, логота... Всичко гледат да е задължително тяхна собственост. Но нека си вярва момчето, няма лошо. ;)

Аз пък не мога да приема това, че WWE ще продължат да ползват образа на Син Кара с Хунико, все едно, че нищо не е станало. Адски обидно към феновете, все едно сме някакви олигофрени и няма да разберем. Поне да измислят някаква история като миналия път.

Не всички гледачи на кеч знаят "как стоят нещата" извън познанието "не се бият наистина".

Casual зрителите изобщо няма да включат че нещо се е случило, аз например като бях на 14 и гледах историята с Kane VS Fake Kane наистина си вярвах, че Luke Gallows прави напълно задоволителна импресионация на Masked Kane и известно време се чудех как можаха WWE така абруптно да заебат историята в последствие. Ама като погледна положението със сегашни очи:

 

И ако някои от тези casual зрители евентуално еволюират в редовни зрители и от редовни зрители в ма'к-сма'к™, сами ще видят целия пъзел и закачливо ще се надсмеят над себе си.

^Еми ако кежуал зрителите не разберат, още по тъпо се получава. Излиза, че Е-то си лъжат феновете. Ми по тая логика да уволнят и Мистерио и да сложат Ел Торито на негово място и да лъжат, че е Мистерио.

Прав си, мислех да хвърля аргумента как основата на кеча е "лъгането на феновете" или по-скоро как единствения начин смарковете да маркнат искрено на нещо е като се "потопят в лъжата" (което е и в основата на enjoy-ването на каквато и да е фикция), но не важи особено.

 

Друга гледна точка е, че важното е как самият човек (Luis Alvirde) играе образа (Sin Cara). Например The Joker е интерпретиран хиляда пъти (във филмите на Нолан, във филмите на Бъртън, в анимацията, в комиксите, в игрите, във всичко) и винаги е бил различен, но с еднаква същина.

Luis Alvirde/Mistico откъдето и да се погледне беше слаб Sin Cara.

 

Иначе WWE го заместват защото имат потребност от това, а тази потребност произтича от:

 

despite not getting a major push in WWE the Sin Cara merchandise sold better than a lot of established names in the company.

 

Също така замяната му не е свързана с кой знае какви трудности:
- маска, която закрива цялото лице
- не говори
- стандартно телосложение
- никакви отличителни белези

Щом нещо може да се направи без излишна пот и пари и ще носи приход, се прави. Мистерио например е невъзможен да се подмени по такъв начин, най-малкото заради татуировките.

Както прогнозирах в shoutbox-a онзи ден, интервютата с този пич рядко разочароват и почти винаги съдържат забавни твърдения.

Бахти мухляра, друго не мога да кажа. Гьонсурат пълен - мразел бил английски и затова не си бил и правил труда да го учи. Пълен дроп. Как го издържаха толкова време и какво им е било, не ща и да си представям.

Не че нещо, ама още преди да подпише с WWE всичките му недостатъци (които го предразполагат към провал в САЩ, включително и това за английския) бяха всеизвестни. Как беше онази приказка? "Не е луд тоя, който яде баницата, а тоя който му я дава".

Някакви новини около евентуалното му завръщане в CMLL има ли? Ако се завърнер какво ще стане с другия Mistico?

Разбира се на теория всичко е възможно, но общо взето AAA изглежда като по-логична дестинация за бившия номер 1 attendance draw в кеча за последните 10 години, тъй като трима от братята му в момента работят в AAA.

Накрая нито Mistico, нито Sin Cara, не съм оптимист за кариерата на момчето, не трябваше да се проваля по този начин. Единствено се надявам да се озове в NJPW по един или друг начин, там може да си върне славата.
