Keiji Muto & Bob Sapp beat Rene Dupree & Zodiac (10:20) with a Moonsault Press by Muto on Dupree. In addition to W-1 core roster, today's debut WRESTLE-1 event featured wrestlers from several different promotions: New Japan (Kazushi Sakuraba & Katsuyori Shibata), Dragon Gate (Masaaki Mochizuki), Zero1 (Kohei Sato & Ryoji Sai), Big Japan (Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi), Michinoku Pro (Fujita 'Jr.' Hayato) and STARDOM (Yoshiko & Mayu Iwatani). Bob "The Beast" Sapp, former All Japan gaijin talent Rene Dupree & Zodiac (Aaron Aguilera) and freelance wrestlers (NOSAWA & MAZADA) also wrestled on the show. After the All Japan/Muto split happened two wrestlers' future was unknown and today it was revealed they've both decided to leave AJPW in favour of W-1 - Koji Kanemoto reformed his Junior Stars tag team with Minoru Tanaka and Seiya Sanada came back to Japan [after his learning excursion in Canada & Mexico] with a new heel attitude and wrestled KAI in the latter's return match [from injury].The legendary Kenta Kobashi was part of the commentary team for the entire show.Prior to the main event, it was announced that TNA founder Jeff Jarrett is coming to the W-1 show at Korakuen Hall on October 6th.Sai & Sato attacked Funaki as he made his way to the back following his match. Funaki's tag partner Kono came in for the save with a chair but then hit Funaki in the head with the chair! Kono then did a short promo saying he didn't care for the fans or anyone in W-1 and that from now on he'll do whatever he wants. Lots of boos for Kono. All three heels then hit their finishers on Funaki as the crowd chanted "Go home Kono" (in Japanese).Hama was dressed up like Rikishi and his new theme song was 2 Cool-like. He also did a Sting yell several times during his tag match.Yamato's new theme song is actually sung by him and he performed it on his way to the ring.In his Japanese debut match Daiki Inaba showed off the high-flying skills he picked up in Mexico.Yamato addressed NOSAWA after their tag match and told him he's too old to be a punk and that he'll help reform him into a better man [a reference to NOSAWA's troubles with the law in Japan].Kannazuki, a famous Japanese comedian known for mimicking Muto, came out at the beginning of the show and said that he's hurt and cannot wrestle but he'll be backstage.Gif-ове: Link to comment
