At the last big AAA event, Rey de Reyes, the AAA President Marisela Peña announced that going forward AAA will have two brands - AAA Fusion (lead by Marisela's husband Joaquin Roldan) and AAA Evolucion (lead by Marisela's son Dorian Roldan). At this point it's not known how the two brands will work exactly - will they run separate shows, have different rosters, their own championships, etc. The rumor is the AAA Evolucion brand will be used for AAA's U.S. expansion next year. The first two AAA Evolucion shows have been announced and looking at the card for the first one there don't seem to be any differences from a regular AAA show. Of course that may change over the next several months as 2014 draws near.

So far the initial ticket sales for Triplemania XXI (AAA's top annual event which is taking place on June 16th in Arena Ciudad de Mexico) have been stronger than in recent years. The reason for that is the fact that AAA have already announced a huge match will be taking place at the show (the El Hijo del Perro Aguayo/Cibernetico feud that's been going on for over a year now will culminate in a big hair vs. hair match). AAA are expecting a sellout of 21,000 fans.

AAA are hoping to bring in TNA talent for Triplemania. They've got their eyes on two wrestlers in particular - Jeff Hardy (who they've wanted to use for years now but couldn't due to him not being able to leave the States because of his legal troubles) and Jeff Jarrett (who's had a long on-going feud with LA Park). It remains to be seen who they'll manage to bring in for the big event.

Dr. Wagner Jr.'s AAA status continues to be up in the air. Wagner is under contract with AAA but hasn't been used on TV in months. He's been vocal in the press about wanting to leave promotion. In typical Wagner fashion (i.e. he likes making all sorts of claims, both true and untrue), he has went on as far as to suggest that he's a free agent and can do whatever he wants (including showing up in AAA's rival promotion CMLL) which lead to AAA threatening him with legal action. His latest claim is that his AAA contract runs out in September and that at that point he will return to CMLL and will be added to the huge Atlantis/Ultimo Guerrero mask vs. mask match which is scheduled for the CMLL 80th Anniversary show in September. Like always, take Wagner's claims with a grain of salt until they are proven to be correct or false. Either way it should be interesting to see what happens with Wagner as he is one of the top lucha stars at the moment.

Speaking of top lucha names, at the last AAA TV taping it was announced that Blue Demon Jr. has signed a contract with AAA and going forward he will be a regular member of the roster. Demon Jr. is expected to be a key figure in the AAA U.S. expansion.

It was also announced that the Leyenda de Azul tournament will be coming to AAA later this year. There's also going to be a championship belt for the winner, as opposed to a trophy like in the CMLL version. Leyenda de Azul is considered to be the second most prestigious annual tournament in CMLL. It's a tournament in honor of the legendary Blue Demon (Blue Demon Jr.'s father) and has been going on since 2000. After his falling out with CMLL Blue Demon Jr. has been vocal about being against CMLL running the tournament but they have continued to do so. At this point it's not known what is going to happen - will there be two Leyenda de Azul tournaments (one in CMLL and one in AAA) or will it be just one tournament in AAA?

At the last TV taping it was announced that Axel has also signed with AAA. Axel is one of the grandsons of the legendary El Santo (the biggest cultural icon pro wrestling has ever produced). He's had short CMLL stints in the past. He's been in a bitter real-life feud with his uncle El Hijo del Santo for years now due to his uncle not wanting him to use the "Nieto del Santo" (Grandson of Santo) name. Until recently Axel was the only one of Santo's grandsons who was a wrestler but then a few months ago Nieto del Santo (El Hijo del Santo's son) started training for a debut later this year. Nieto is currently in NOAH's dojo and to say that he has big shoes to fill would be a huge understatement. It would be like if say Hulk Hogan was your grandfather and Steve Austin was your father. How do you fill those shoes?! That's a very very tough spot to be in and it should be very interesting to see how Nieto does.

And finally, the recently "fired" Konnan made his return to AAA and announced that he's returning to the ring. Konnan hasn't wrestled regularly for years now (other than a multi-man house show match here and there) due to injuries but has talked about wanting one final run for a while now. He's also expected to be a key figure in AAA's U.S. expansion (both on and off camera).

Причината, която е изтъкнал е, че предпочита да бъде свободен агент и да има пълен контрол над това, което прави. Между другото, преди няколко дена Park направи изненадващо участие в пресконференция на Todo X el Todo (федерацията на El Hijo del Santo) и обяви, че иска да се бие с Dr. Wagner Jr. и да му отнеме маската.

AAA най-после обясниха как ще действа brand split-a. AAA Evolucion тв шоу за Evolucion brand-а и AAA Fusion тв шоу за Fusion brand-a, а пък AAA Sin Limite тв шоуто (главното им седмично шоу) ще има кечисти и от двата brand-a. Кечисти и от двата brand-а ще се бият в петте ежегодни големи шоута. Brand split-а влиза в сила след Triplemania XXI (16-ти юни). Следните кечисти бяха обявени за brand-овете:
