3. World Tag League – Semi Final: Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr. beat Togi Makabe & Wataru Inoue (12:10) when Smith used the Killer bomb on Inoue.

4. World Tag League – Semi Final: Hirooki Goto & Karl Anderson beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima (14:41) when Goto used the Goto Shiki on Tenzan.

5. Manabu Nakanishi & Strong Man beat Toru Yano & Takashi Iizuka (3:50) when Iizuka was DQ’d.

6. Manabu Nakanishi, Strong Man, MVP & Shelton Benjamin beat Toru Yano, Takashi Iizuka, Masato Tanaka & Yujiro Takahashi (7:53) when Iizuka was DQ’d.

7. Kazushi Sakuraba & Katsuyori Shibata beat Shinsuke Nakamura & Tomohiro Ishii (9:20) when Sakuraba used the Sakuraba Lock on Ishii.

8. Kazuchika Okada & Gedo beat Hiroshi Tanahashi & KUSHIDA (15:22) when Okada used the Rainmaker on KUSHIDA.

9. World Tag League – Final: Hirooki Goto & Karl Anderson beat Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr. (15:36) when Anderson used the Gun Stun on Smith.

* Hirooki Goto may be struggling to win the elusive IWGP Heavyweight Title but he is no stranger to winning tournament trophies and today added another one to his growing collection. Goto had formed an unlikely team with Karl Anderson going into the 2012 World Tag League but after a poor start they came good and developed enough teamwork and chemistry to see them through to the final stages. And what a day it was for them in Aichi as they defeated New Japan’s two top tag teams of late, TenKoji and the Killer Elite Squad, to win the tournament. The semis began with Archer & Smith Jr. beating Makabe & Wataru before Goto & Anderson pulled off their big win over Tenzan & Kojima. Then in the finale of what was the first ever World Tag League, the sequel to the G1 Tag League, Goto & Anderson bested the IWGP Tag Team Champions with Anderson using his Gun Stun to finish off Smith. This drives the team titled Swords & Guns into top contendership and they will meet the Killer Elite Squad at the Tokyo Dome on January 4th for the IWGP Tag Team Title.

* Sakuraba and Nakamura also warmed up for their Tokyo Dome match by meeting in a tag as Laughter7 won yet again by beating Nakamura & Ishii, Sakuraba forcing Ishii to tap out to his Sakuraba Lock.
