UNDERTAKER*

Recommended Posts

"You think I'm crazy, but I've lost my senses...

The world will finally learn the truth!

You... you wouldn't understand cause you don't know who I am

I'm the wonderman! I'm gonna prove them wrong

I'm gonna take a stand! I'm the wonderman" 🦹‍♀️

-След като стана ясно, че Edge става член на HOF, Bret Hart е написал в twitter следното: "Congrats to the inductees so far to the WWE HOF, esp. Edge. He'll always be one of my crew & I hope 2 be there 2 shake his hand that night".

Самият Edge за HOF:

EDGE COMMENTS ON WWE HALL OF FAME INDUCTION, WHO HE WANTS TO INDUCT HIM AND MORE

By Terri Bey on 2012-01-10 00:20:49

Edge was just on "After Math" on the Score with Arda Ocal and Jimmy Korderas to discuss his impending induction into WWE's Hall of Fame.

Edge was asked how he felt about the honor, and Edge said "I feel old." Edge revealed that he was told by WWE personnel and was told by Ocal that he was the youngest inducted. Korderas joked that Edge could borrow his AARP card.

Ocal asked Edge about the year he had with the retirement and everything. Edge said it was a surreal year. He then said it was a weird year. He said he didn't think he would wind up the year after retirement sitting on a chair with tea cup poodle. Edge then said, "I have a tea cup poodle, Branny, but he's tough." As for the Hall of Fame, Edge said it seemed soon. He thought it was a compliment. Edge said that WWE employees and wrestlers voted, and was told the vote was unanimous, and he then felt more at ease. Edge was asked by Korderas if he was given a choice of who would induct him, and he said he guessed he would be given the choice, and if given the choice, Christian would be the one.

Edge was asked if entering the Hall of Fame would have validated his career and if it would have been a nice way to end his career. He said that being in the Hall of Fame would have been Icing on the cake. Edge said that he would have liked to wrestle Christian at Mania. However, Edge did say the honor is humbling. Being inducted with the Four Horsemen is surreal.

Edge was asked about his neck. He said it was doing well, but he was learning as he goes as to what bothers it, and what doesn't.. He said he went to dentist a couple of months ago and could not turn his neck for two days. He said will have to eventually get neck surgery. Flights over 2 hours bother him for a day. He said he has had three surgeries (to his neck, shoulder and Achilles), and really doesn't want to get a 4th surgery. He said he biked 13 miles that day. He said he bikes, and does stuff to keep pressure off the neck.

He said every day he finds stuff to do. He said he does hiking, biking, and plays records. He said he will do Season three of Haven, the Hall of Fame, and he talked up his movie. He said it is getting busy again. He discussed his DVD. He said he saw advanced copy, and was happy with it. He said he was hands on in selection of the matches. Problems came up in selecting the matches because a lot of his matches were 25 minutes long, and they could only put so many on the DVD.

Their last question was about Royal Rumble matches. Edge said they could be a nightmare. He was called upon to help with the matches because of his memory. He said he was "stuck" with telling others what to do in the match.

The interview ends with the guys teasing Edge about being a DJ at one of their weddings. Edge said "As long as you don't mind a little Pearl Jam."

JJ Dillon, the manager of the Four Horsemen was on Busted Open with Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca on Sirius XM Radio. You can hear Busted Open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2-4 ET on Sirius 94, XM 208.

JJ Dillon on Ole Anderson in the 4 Horsemen: "When I think of the reign of the Four Horsemen, and of course I responded this way in interviews over the past 25 years, that the original Horsemen with Ole will always be special for that reason, because it was spontaneous coming together of all these guys that had already enjoyed great success in the profession at that point, and there was something about the chemistry that clicked."

JJ Dillon on Barry Windham: "I have always said in the terms of the in ring product, what we got bell to bell, the third grouping with Barry Windham was for me the best. Barry was young, tall, good looking, extremely athletic to do anything in the ring. He just complimented everyone else."

JJ Dillon on why Barry Windham was chosen for the HOF over other members: "If you look at it from strictly a business standpoint, Barry was a behind the scenes agent at one time for the WWE for a number of years. His father Blackjack Mulligan is already in the WWE Hall of Fame. If you were picking out all the combinations of the Horsemen, the one that included Barry, I think other people would agree too, that was when we were at our absolute best."

JJ Dillon on whether he thinks Ric Flair will show at the HOF ceremony: "You know when Shawn Michaels was inducted, Ric wasn't invited but he was there, he bought a ticket, was in the audience. He can kind of get away with things that other people cant. Who knows what's going to transpire in the next 60 days as far as Ric. But knowing him as I have for as long as I have, seeing him there would not shock me. Whether it's in an informal status or whatever it is, it would be good to see him, and if it ends up being just Arn, Tully, and myself, and I think Barry because of his health issues is a question mark at this point. Whatever it is, it is still an incredible honor. It's a very humbling thing and the pinnacle of my career. It validates everything that I accomplished in 40 years, spanning five decades in the wrestling profession."

Dillon mentioned Dusty Rhodes, Blackjack Mulligan, and Triple H as possible people to induct them.

"The Total Package" Lex Luger was on Busted Open with Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca on Sirius XM Radio. You can hear Busted Open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2-4 ET on Sirius 94, XM 208.

Lex Luger on whether he was contacted by the WWE about the HOF: "I heard from a buddy of mine this morning, I didn't see it, that they were going to do something with the Hall of Fame and the Four Horsemen and it looked like they were going to plug Barry Windham in there. I know the original group was with Ole (Anderson). So I always thought it would have been Ric (Flair), Arn (Anderson), Tully (Blanchard), and Ole with JJ (Dillon) which was the original group. Barry Windham obviously is a wonderful choice. I know he has some health struggles. What an honor that would be and maybe a real boost to both Barry and his father who also has some health issues. I think that would be very cool at the Hall of Fame to see Barry get inducted."

Luger on Windham as the pick for the Horsemen for the Hall of Fame and not him: "I think Barry Windham would be a splendid choice for getting inducted. What a great honor for him. I think it would be a great time in Barry's life right now from what I hear, for him to receive that. I'm going to be down in South Beach for Wrestlemania. I wouldn't miss it. I will be in the audience cheering on the guys who gets selected as the Four Horsemen. Im just thrilled that I was a part of it at all. I think Barry is a great pick."

Luger on whether he feels slighted: "I'll be totally honest, I really don't. My career in retrospect and you guys know the place I'm in, in my life right now and to be mentioned in the same breath with the famed Four Horsemen. To be a part of that in the time I was. I think Barry is a wonderful selection. I'll be there to give him a standing ovation and cheer him on. I am happy I was ever a part of that group so I don't feel slighted at all. They give careful thought I'm sure when they do this. I think Barry would be a great addition. If they are not going to go with Ole then Barry is a great choice. Guys it would really be a toss up after Ole, and WWE for whatever reason is very careful with their selection and give a lot of thought to it like I said. It really could be any of us and if Barry is the selection. I love Barry. He is a great talent and I am all for it, I really am."

4Horsemen Tully Blanchard:

Tully Blanchard, one of the cogs of the 4 Horsemen was on Busted Open with Doug Mortman and Dave LaGreca on Sirius XM Radio. You can hear Busted Open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2-4 ET on Sirius 94, XM 208.

Tully talks about why Barry Windham was chosen over other members for the Hall of Fame: "The most dynamic group that we had was with Barry. You had more guys that could perform with more opponents. Big, small, all sizes and that was the most powerful group we had. Lex Luger was an addition. He was just coming in to work for Crockett as Ole was on his way out. So it was a place to put Luger to try to get him instantly to a star status since he had such a great look and it worked and it worked for quite a while. But when we switched him to babyface and Barry came back as a heel you had 4 guys that who could perform with Andre the Giant or the Rock and Roll Express or The Road Warriors. We could go out with all shapes and sizes and go out and tear the house down, and that is where your dynamics and your benefit for your promotion came."

Tully on HHH possibly inducting the 4 Horsemen: "He just shared with me in brief that he watched and appreciated everything we did, not just we, but he was talking about me specifically. Before he got into wrestling or at the start of his career, as he went in, if that is what he watched and that is what he molded himself after, then he would have a great amount of input on how the images of the 4 Horsemen blended together and affected him."

Tully's thoughts on JJ Dillon: "JJ is definitely one of the finest managers in my opinion, if not the best manager that the wrestling business has ever had, and I have known some good ones. But a lot of the very good ones were fighting for center stage with talent many times, and JJ never did that. He complemented everything that was done and not taking away from what the guy was doing in the ring or what the guys were doing in the ring. That made it very, very simple to go out and perform, just like you’re out there by yourself or in a tag team match and JJ could put the gas to the fire when you needed it."

Tully on what he expects the night of the Hall of Fame: "Right now the biggest honor is to be in the WWE Hall of Fame, in the wrestling business. There will be twenty thousand people at the American Airlines Center that Saturday night watching it. If I am still on this earth, I'll be there, and I'm planning on having my four children there with me. They were born after my wrestling career and they have not really grabbed hold of the fact of what I used to do. With the magnitude of this setting and with Wrestlemania and Saturday night and Fan Axxess. My children have never seen me in that big of a setting. They have been in a couple of autograph settings with me, but this is going to be a little eye opening for them."

By Scott Fishman

Miami Herald Writer

Jerry The King Lawler initially didn’t want to take his place in the WWE Hall of Fame before he accepted the offer in 2007.

His career already spanned four decades, winning a number of championships along the way, but the longtime voice of Monday Night Raw felt he wasn’t ready.

“Vince [McMahon] came to me and said, ‘King we are going to induct you in the Hall of Fame this year.’ Lawler recalled. “My first reaction was, ‘No. I don’t want to.’

“I’d always related the Hall of Fame to baseball and football where you don’t go in until a couple of years after your career is over. So I said to myself and Vince, ‘I don’t feel my career is over. I still want to compete. I still want to perform.’ He said, ‘You have to understand. The WWE Hall of Fame is not like baseball and football in that sense. It’s not that you have to wait until someone’s career is over. If you look around, there are guys in there who still compete, still perform. We just do it to honor and acknowledge what you have accomplished to this point.’

“If someone has accomplished enough to that point, then they are considered for the Hall of Fame. Afterward I didn’t slow down, as I still perform and compete on a regular basis. So it worked out well for me.”

WWE recently announced Edge and the Four Horsemen would join Mil Mascaras in the 2012 Class. Tickets for the March 31 ceremony, emanating from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, officially go on sale 10 a.m. [EST] Saturday, Jan. 14.

There is some whispers among the Internet wrestling community that Edge’s induction, although deserving, is too soon for the 38-year-old superstar. Lawler couldn’t be happier for the Rated R Superstar.

“We know how young Edge is, but because of his physical condition, his career was cut short,” Lawler said.

“In that respect, he has come to the end of his wrestling career, but when you look back, he was such an amazing performer and accomplished so much in a short time to become worthy of being in the Hall of Fame. He is a special individual. I think it’s great he is going to be in there.

“His popularity is worldwide. It’s just tremendous. I don’t think there will be anyone out there saying he shouldn’t be in there because he is too young. Here is a guy who has accomplished so much that everybody I have talked to since it was announced is just excited for Edge.”

The same excitement is felt for the induction of the Four Horsemen, the incarnation of the respected group made up of Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, Ric Flair and manager J.J. Dillon. The Nature Boy already has a Hall of Fame ring as a member of the 2008 Class.

“Ric Flair having two rings is going to make a lot of people a little bit jealous” Lawler said.

“Though there is no way you can say the Four Horsemen are not worthy of being inducted in the Hall of Fame because, as a group, industry-wide, they were as formidable a group of talent that there ever has been. Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard, I’m excited for them. J.J. Dillon has always been a favorite of mine. I remember when Kamala first got his start in Memphis, J.J. came over and did the favor of basically managing and introducing Kamala.

“Nobody in our Memphis area knew who J.J. Dillon was, but he did such a tremendous job as he did his entire career. So I’m excited for him to be acknowledged. That’s the great thing about the WWE Hall of Fame. It’s an opportunity to acknowledge what these special guys, special talents have done. Without that, it just goes unheralded so to speak. All these guys deserve it for their accomplishments, but also everything they have brought to our industry.”

If the Memphis legend had his way a certain broadcaster would join the WWE Hall of Fame ranks.

“Lance Russell would be a personal favorite of mine,” Lawler said. “Basically I grew up with Lance Russell as our play-by-play announcer in our Memphis and Mid-South Wrestling area, territory. To me, there has never been anyone better, and I’ve heard them all. From Gordon Solie to J.R. [Jim Ross] and everybody, he was my personal favorite because he was the guy I grew up on and listened to every week. It’s indelible in my mind when I think of a play-by-play guy, I think of Lance Russell. However, Lance is a guy not known on a national level, probably not as well as he would need to be to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He certainly deserves to be there.”

Another pick Lawler believes deserves a slot in the hallowed hall is rival Andy Kaufman. The King and the late actor’s “hatred” for one another was the talk of the entertainment industry. It put pro wrestling in the limelight, like never before. WWE does have a celebrity wing to its Hall of Fame with Drew Carey, William the Refrigerator Perry, Pete Rose and Bob Uecker.

“I’ve pushed for him to be there,” Lawler said. “The match I had with him, and that whole scenario I think opened the door and changed the face of wrestling to what it is today. There was the Hollywood involvement, the showbiz aspect, but especially the Hollywood involvement. When Andy came along and he and I had those matches, all of a sudden we were on national television on David Letterman, Saturday Night Live and these sorts of things. Our industry got the big Hollywood rub from Andy Kaufman.

“Then Mr. McMahon just took that ball and ran with it. Next thing you know you have Cyndi Lauper out there, Mr. T, Hulk Hogan in the Rocky movie. It just snowballed to what we have today. We have so much Hollywood involvement. Every time you look around Hollywood stars want to be on Monday Night Raw or involved in WWE. I think it all started with Andy Kaufman. I think he really deserves to be in there.”

The Hall of Fame occurs the night before WrestleMania. Despite being with the company since 1992, Lawler had never competed on the mega event until last year. The veteran took on his Monday night broadcast partner Michael Cole.

“Everybody has the dream of being a part of WrestleMania, performing on the grandest stage of them all,” Lawler said.

“That is something that has eluded me for years and years. I remember back in 2007 when Vince came to me about being in the Hall of Fame. I didn’t feel like I deserved it. I didn’t feel I had done enough. I told him I had never even competed at WrestleMania. He was shocked. He said, ‘What? You’ve never wrestled at WrestleMania?’ I said, ‘No’. He said, “How did that fall through the cracks? How did that escape me? You’re going to be on it next year.’”

“Then 2008 came, and I wasn’t on there. Then 2009 came, and I’m not on there. So I had almost given up on the notion of ever competing at WrestleMania. Then it sort of fell into place last year.”

Momentum began to build for Lawler and a coveted spot on the WrestleMania 27 card in Atlanta. It all started on his 61st birthday in 2010 with a memorable match on Raw against The Miz, the WWE champion at the time.

“I will never forget it,” Lawler said.

“It was in Philadelphia. The response was so good. This thing grew some legs, and I was starting to have more matches. This was at a time when I was content being the color commentator, but the response was so good they gave me some more matches with the Miz. Then the Michael Cole involvement came along when he interfered in a title match I had against the Miz. Michael Cole looked like he cost me the WWE title in that match.

“Then there was the bad blood between Michael Cole and myself that grew every week. Then in February of last year my mother passed away. Michael Cole alluded to that fact. I made sure he didn’t say anything derogatory about my mom, but he just made some mentions to her. The fans were so sensitive to that. It really made everyone despise Michael Cole. That led to the blow off match at WrestleMania with me and Michael Cole.”

Even though it wasn’t the greatest match from a technical standpoint, Lawler says it was the ideal opponent for that scenario. The icing on the cake for the King was having Stone Cold Steve Austin serve as special referee.

“It couldn’t have turned out better for me,” Lawler said.

“It was an honor to be in my first WrestleMania, finally at this point in my career, and then have Stone Cold Steve Austin as the special referee. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”

From the age of “puppies” to the “PG” era, Lawler has seen WWE change and evolve in many ways. The usage of social media has become a more prevalent part of the company.

“I don’t know if anybody is doing a better job of taking advantage of social media than WWE,” Lawler said.

“We are one of the most interactive companies out there with tweeting and all the social media out there. Every week we are plugging it on our live broadcasts. We are responsible for people trending worldwide, just like Brodus Clay this past week. Who would have ever thought this big guy making his debut would be the number one trending on Twitter, but he was.

“It’s always fun to be a part of that. Guys are starting to realize they can really take advantage of social media. You remember when Ashton Kutcher was talking about how many followers he had. All it did was get his name out there, putting his name out there worldwide in front of millions of people. Some of our guys, like Zack Ryder, are saying if it worked for those guys, then it can work for me. Zack has used social media to bring himself in the forefront singlehandedly.

“He didn’t sit around and wait for Mr. McMahon or creative staff to say, ‘This guy looks promising. Let’s give this guy some exposure and an opportunity.’ He made that through social media. A lot of the guys are realizing this, maybe even some young guys who aren’t in the WWE and want to be. This is something that you need to take advantage of to get your name out there. This is something that is growing by leaps and bounds. I think we are still on the ground floor of what we are going to be able to do with social media, but I think you are going to see some big things from it in the future in WWE.”

Lawler is looking forward to soaking up the sun, fun and everything else WrestleMania 28 Week has to offer in Miami.

“I just know me personally and everybody I have talked to so far is really excited about it,” Lawler said.

“Everybody knows what a fun city Miami is, and we get to go in a week before WrestleMania. It’s not just WrestleMania and the WWE Hall of Fame. We take over the city. There is the art show and all kinds of events going on all week long in Miami. What a fun city Miami is, with South Beach and all the great things associated with Florida and Miami that we are going to take advantage of. We have a lot of things we have to do, but there is always that off time, so it’s great to be in a place where you can enjoy yourself.”

Jake "The Snake" Roberts

Jake "The Snake" Roberts sat down to talk to Wrestling Voice Radio, some of the highlights are below:

What it would mean to him, if he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame:

"A lot. A lot, because I did make a lot of mistakes in my career but if they would acknowledge what I did and what I accomplished by putting me in there, it would be something I could give to my Grandchildren, for everything I did right, I know I belong in there, a lot more than others that are in there but I don't care about that, the WWE was very good to me. I didn't understand a lot of things, I was not a good business man. Vince would call me say we need an idea for this and I'd give him an idea and we'd just rock and roll with it, I didn't know I'd to go in there and fight for my money and my place and the bottom line is the squeaky wheel gets the grease and I should of recognized that. I should of done the right thing and been squeaky."

Did he think when Stone Cold cut the "Austin 3:16" promo on his that it would one of the most iconic moments in history:

"Oh absolutely, I told Vince from the get-go that Steve was going to be his next super-superstar and Vince said he'd 'never be better than third or fourth match' and I said 'Vince, it will take him longer to get over, but once he gets over he will get so far above everybody else, you will not believe it!', and what happened?"

On whether he believes scripting wrestlers promos is good or bad for business:

"Nobody knows my character like me, but the problem today is these guys don't have any characters, they don't know what they are, hell, they all do the same damn thing and nobodies selling anything.

Never say anything and not do it, because you'll destroy your own credibility, most important thing about that is if you ever destroy your credibility to a fan he will never believe you again, today they're going out there and doing all this crap nobody sells anything in the ring, and the reason is these guys have not learned they're trait. In my day you had to progress, you had evolve, to change to keep your job, there's a little initiative to get you going and that's the difference."

Link to comment

“Words can’t describe how happy I am about my best friend and former tag team partner Ron Simmons going into HOF! Well deserved, CONGRATS!”

“As far as who is inducting Ron into the HOF-I would consider one of my greatest lifetime honors if I am chosen. However, it hasn’t been announced-SO, if I knew who was I couldn’t say. And, if I don’t know I couldn’t say either obviously. So, I wait on the announcement like everyone else.”

“The main thing is not who is announcing or inducting Ron but that a great, great man is being put into the HOF-congrats to Ron, my best friend and former tag partner!!!”

As previously reported, the 2012 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on March 31st (the night before WrestleMania) – but will not air on the USA Network until Monday, April 2nd, as a 1-hour lead-in to RAW.

As of this week, the plan is for the televised ceremony to feature the inductions of Edge and the Four Horsemen only.

It is still expected that former WWE champion Yokozuna will be announced as on of the final members of the Class of 2012. The deceased Samoan/sumo warrior will be inducted by his cousin, The Rock.

Edge is scheduled to be inducted last by Christian.

The Horsemen will be inducted by Triple H, Shawn Michaels and Dusty Rhodes

Ric Flair:

That is for me to know and you to find out.

As of this week, the plan is for the televised ceremony to feature the inductions of Edge and the Four Horsemen only.

Без The Rock и Yokozuna?

Yokozuna ... След няколко месеца , на King of the Ring 93 Йокозуна успя да спечели обратно своята световна титла като направи това което не успяха хора като Roddy Piper , King Kong Bundy , Andre The Giant , Sgt Slaughter , Undertaker , Sid Justice -да сложи край на Hulkamania в WWF за цели 9 години. Andre the Giant.

"They think I belong in there and want me to fly out and get inducted into their hall. I'm not going to argue with them. I'm ecstatic. I watched wrestling before I ever watched boxing on TV. Bruno Sammartino was my favorite, but I liked all those guys: Junkyard Dog, Nikolai Volkoff, the Iron Sheik, Superstar Billy Graham." Tyson was perhaps the most excited person at WrestleReunion in Los Angeles this past January and is true diehard fan of the business. I know people get down on celebs being inducted into the WWE Hall, but there is a world of difference between Tyson, who helped make Steve Austin a superstar, and someone like a Drew Carey.

Mike Tyson.

Edge's Hall of Fame induction and herself going in:

"I’m so proud of him. I think Adam does deserve it. I think it’s very fitting the way his career came to an end. This is just an amazing exclamation point for that. For me, of course, it was like winning the women’s championship. I went into the business hoping to become the best women’s wrestler ever and winning the women’s championship was the ultimate goal. As I wrapped up my career the ultimate goal was to leave a legacy and be remembered for everything I did. So a WWE Hall of Fame induction is something that would be a way of recognizing that. One could only hope."

A second season of Tough Enough:

"Absolutely zero word. I think there is a focus on the launch of the WWE Network, and that is a huge undertaking. I think once there is a clear idea on individual programming, I think that is when we will get a clear idea if or when there would be a season two. It’s a timing thing. I had a great time doing it. When they called me, I happened to be available. So if I’m available, and they have me back, of course I would entertain it."

Майк Тайсън - Triple H и HBK
 • Edge - Longtime partner and former "brother" Christian will have the honor of inducting "The Rated R Superstar." This should come as no surprise as their friendship dates back all the way to their high school days.
 • Ron Simmons - In another no-brainer, the first African American world champion will be inducted by fellow Acolyte and APA member John Bradshaw Layfield. Before "JBL" broke out as one of the top rulebreakers in WWE, his tandem with Simmons provided bone-crunching matches and belly-aching laughs.
 • Yokozuna - The late Superstar is set to be ushered in by his cousin, former WWE Superstar Rikishi and his twin sons, current WWE tag team Jimmy and Jey Uso. While rumors that Yokozuna's iconic WrestleMania IX and X opponent, Bret Hart, might get the honors, it seems Vince McMahon and company preferred to keep the matter inside the family.
 • Mil Mascaras - The lucha libre legend will be inducted by his nephew, former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio. Having last competed in October in Japan, Mil Mascaras enters the Hall of Fame as one of the, if the most iconic figure in all of Mexican wrestling. Del Rio, having been on the shelf with an injury since December, has only showed up once on WWE TV since. A return for the Mexican wrestler can't be far off.

"From now on please call me Dwayne Johnson. I want to be known as Dwayne Johnson the actor, and not The Rock. "I loved The Rock; The Rock was a nickname but what's happened is it's naturally progressed into Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. When it becomes just Dwayne Johnson, that's fine."

I am Dwayne Johnson...and I will also always be The Rock.

- JBL wrote the following about inducting Ron Simmons into the WWE Hall of Fame this weekend:

“There’s only two problems with me inducting Ron into HOF this weekend in Miami. Do you really think Miami is read for an APA reunion and I better have an hour to tell all the stories I want to tell about our travels!! Seriously, one of greatest honors of my life-can’t wait to induct my best friend!”

CHARLOTTE, NC – (March 27, 2012) International celebrity the Nature Boy® Ric Flair is set to become the only wrestler in history to be inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame twice. Flair’s dominant 1980s wrestling group, the Four Horsemen, known to be the greatest in ring performers of all time, will be granted their seat in the Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Miami, FL on March 31st, the day before Wrestlemania XXVIII. Flair will be inducted along-side fellow members of the Four Horsemen: Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham, and J.J. Dillon.

The news of Flair’s second induction was followed by a firestorm of controversy. Questions flew about whether Flair would attend the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony as he is currently under contract with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling. Understanding what a huge honor this is for Flair, TNA is graciously supporting him in the decision to attend the Hall of Fame ceremony alongside his fellow inductees.

“Being inducted once was one of the greatest accomplishments of my career, so I’m humbled and honored to be recognized again. I wouldn’t miss the ceremony for the world,” says Flair.

TNA President Dixie Carter says, “We are proud of Ric’s many accomplishments and contributions he has made to the world of professional wrestling and beyond. We wish to congratulate him on yet another honor he truly deserves.”
