Look out Team 3D! New Japan's own gaijin force, "Bad Intentions" Giant Bernard & Karl Anderson, stormed through the 2009 G1 Tag League, winning it without a single blemish on their record. They downed the highly tipped Wild Child in the first semi final, after which Apollo 55 scored the upset of the tournament by defeating Nakamura & Yano. But beating the American tandem was too much to ask for Taguchi & Devitt as the revived Magic Killer sunk Devitt. Bad Intentions become top contenders for the IWGP Tag Team Title, held again by the world famous Team 3D, and declared war on the champions after their victory, shouting "New Japan ichiban!".

TAJIRI once again intruded today, appearing after the fifth match and asking why Tanahashi hasn't been answering his provocative letters. Tanahashi didn't appear but young lion Kazuchika Okada, who also picked a quarrel with TAJIRI during the G1, did, and ran him off. Okada said he was a suitable opponent for TAJIRI. Tanahashi finally responded after pinning Jado in the sixth match, saying if TAJIRI wants a belt so much, to go after the inactive IWGP U-30 Openweight Title.

IGF's Simon Inoki, Josh Barnett, and Montanha Silva were spotted in the crowd today, another possible sign of what is to come.

Jushin Thunder Liger announced during the show that the originator of the world famous Super J-Cup, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, will revive the concept at Christmas! New Japan presents “SUPER J-CUP 5th STAGE” at Tokyo Korakuen Hall over two nights on December 22nd and 23rd. As highlights of past J-Cups played on the big screen today, Liger, with microphone in hand, said many of those great wrestlers are burned into his mind. He said Christmas is the perfect time to revive such an event and is excited to host it after 15 years. Liger is the most respected junior heavyweight in professional wrestling with contacts in virtually every company so expect a very colorful and diverse cast that hopefully makes up for the disappointing J-Cups of 2000 and 2004 that sent the concept into half a decade’s worth of hibernation.

The escalating war between Togi Makabe and Takashi Iizuka reached boiling point after today’s Korakuen Hall show. Makabe was about to leave Korakuen in President Sugabayashi’s car when Iizuka arrived with a baseball bat and put it through the window closest to Makabe! Iizuka then pulled Makabe out of the car (after dealing with Honma) and beat him to a bloody pulp. Only after some nearby female fans screamed was anyone alerted with AKIRA noticing what was happening, arriving to run Iizuka off. President Sugabayashi, in the driver’s seat, got some glass stuck in his eye and the terrorist attack of Iizuka forced Makabe, Honma, and the president to need medical assistance.
