He asked for it and he got it. Hiroshi Tanahashi has an instant chance to win back the IWGP Heavyweight Title without losing too much of his momentum. Manabu Nakanishi’s V1 defense of the belt will take place at Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium next month against the man he defeated yesterday. Also announced for ”DOMINION 6.20″ was Team 3D’s next defense of the IWGP Tag Team Title against the team that downed both Wild Child and TenKoji to earn a shot, Giant Bernard & Karl Anderson.

New Japan vs. NOAH continues with two interesting singles matches in Osaka next month, both added today. Kazuchika Okada has emerged from the opening match to try and make a name for himself in the NOAH feud, with two appearances in tags against NOAH opposition recently. Next month he faces NOAH’s top ace candidate Go Shiozaki in a match that gives both men a chance to show something. And the feud between Hirooki Goto and Takashi Sugiura could be settled as the two go to war in a battle of men pushing towards the top of their respective promotions right now.

The full card for New Japan’s next big show, “DOMINION 6.20″ in Osaka, has been announced. Two big additions and they are the battle of former IWGP Tag Team Champions, Makabe vs. Yano, and a mask vs. mask match between Tiger Mask and Black Tiger. It hasn’t been long since Tiger Mask took the previous generation Black Tiger’s mask and now he has a chance to end the fifth generation already and avenge a loss that kept him out of the Super Jr. final stages the other day.

Taguchi & Devitt’s victory over Milano & Taichi was said to be the best match of the early part of the card, reportedly excellent. Black Tiger was unmasked as Tatsuhito Takaiwa in a very forgettable 4 1/2 minute sprint, Tiger Mask having now beaten and ended the spells of both the fourth and fifth generation Black Tigers within a few months. Kanemoto appeared after the match, the Super Jr. winner’s challenge for Tiger’s IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title made decisive for an upcoming show. Young lion Okada fought very well against the new GHC Heavyweight Champion, Go Shiozaki, not losing nearly as easily as one might expect and again showing the potential of a future ace. Takashi Sugiura scored somewhat of an upset in beating Hirooki Goto. Yano upsets former partner Makabe after some help from Nakamura. It took little more than a month but golden boy Hiroshi Tanahashi is back on top of the world, ending Nakanishi’s brief reign and beginning his fourth IWGP Heavyweight Title reign! Sugiura intruded after the match and demanded a match with Tanahashi. Tanahashi brushed him off but there seems to be the possibility of his first defense being against Sugiura in Sapporo before the G1.

4. Mascara Contra Mascara: Tiger Mask beat Black Tiger (4:32) with a chickenwing hold.

5. Shinsuke Nakamura, Takashi Iizuka, Tomohiro Ishii & Jado beat Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Yuji Nagata, Wataru Inoue & Tomoaki Honma (12:12) when Nakamura used a knee kick on Inoue.
