Айде да добавим още един любопитен кеч факт.

Преди малко без да искам попаднах на резултатите от последните шоута на федерацията на Scott D'Amore (Border City Wrestling) и видях едно име, което не бях чувал от бая време насам - Matt Duvall. Едва ли някой го е чувал, но Matt Duvall към края на 2005 щеше да дебютира в TNA. Matt беше един от по-обещаващите бодибилдъри в бодибилдинг индустрията, но някъде през 2004 реши да стане кечист и затова проучи как стоят нещата в двете главни федерации - TNA & WWE. В крайна сметка реши да се пробва при TNA заради лекия им график. ТNA го харесаха и най-вече им хареса факта, че по това време eдна от известните марки за хранителни фитнес надбавки (MuscleTech) бяха спонсори на Matt, което евентуално щеше да отвори най-различни бизнес възможности за TNA. TNA го пратиха да тренира в кеч школата на Scott D'Amore и вече към края на 2005 Matt щеше да дебютира. Планът беше да направи дебюта си на шоу на BCW в мач срещу 4 cruiserweight кечисти и напълно да ги размаже. Този мач щеше да бъде излъчен по време на iMPACT като "ексклузивни кадри от house шоу на TNA" и малко след това Matt щеше да дебютира и на iMPACT. Обаче, 2-3 дена преди въпросния 4-on-1 handicap мач Matt се контузи по време на тренировка и работата се прецака. Тогава беше и последния път, когато чух името му да се свързва с кеч индустрията. Сега останах приятно изненадан като отново видях името му в резултатите от последните шоута на BCW.

Някъде из форума отново се заформи дискусия за John Cena и това ме подсети за един любопитен факт от миналото му. Когато дебютира през 2002 Cena дебютира с добро представяне срещу голяма звезда в лицето на Kurt Angle. Това никак не беше случайно. По това време Paul Heyman беше главен сценарист на Smackdown и Cena беше един от хората, в които Heyman виждаше най-голям потенциал, а и WWE (разбирайте Vince) също го виждаха. Малко след това, обаче, WWE останаха много разочаровани от представянето на Cena (особено във враждата му срещу Chris Jericho) и обмисляха доста сериозно дали да не го освободят. Paul Heyman едва ги разубеди да не го правят, малко след това дойде рапърския gimmick, с който Cena получи свобода за изява, развихри се и стана голяма звезда. Останалото е история. Така че следващият път, когато на някой му се оплаква от John Cena теглете и една псувня по адрес на Paul Heyman, който му спаси работата. :D
