"The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels over #2 "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen

7. Tag Team Challenge Match

Decent show overall.

ROH Supercard of Honor V

2. Erick Stevens d. Grizzly Redwood - Stevens wins with the Doctor Bomb. Embassy beats down Grizzly aftewards until Balls Mahoney comes in and saves Grizzly.

7. The Kings of Wrestling d. The Motor City Machine Guns by DQ - Briscoes interfere for the DQ. Jay hits Sara Del Ray with a Jay Driller

The main event is up. MRykiel said that the NYC crowd is turning on Tyler.

8. Tyler Black d. Roderick Strong to retain the ROH World Title - Black wins with God's Last Gift off the top rope!

#1 – Roderick Strong

#2 – Christopher Daniels

#3 – Kevin Steen

#5 – Colt Cabana

#6 – Kenny King

ROH in Hamburg, NY

- The Bravado Bros defeated Mike Sydal and a partner whose name I couldn't make out. The Bravados are really coming along as a team and have a good chemistry between them. I think they've got a ways to go, but they've really come a long way in the year or so since they made their debuts. Mike Sydal showed potential and a lot of the same mannerisms as Matt Sydal, but his partner looked pretty green.

- Grizzly Redwood & Bobby Dempsey defeated Rob Just Too Sweet & Dewey. Pretty formulaic tag match with Grizzly getting beat up for a few minutes before Bobby tagged in and cleaned house and got the win. The local team looked really green and really didn't impress me.

Main Show

-Before the show began, we had a ten bell salute out of respect for the passing of former ROH Tag Team Champion Trent Acid.

-Jim Cornette opened the show and announced that due to travel issues, Davey Richards will not be on tonight's show, but was quick to dispel any rumors and pointed out that he will definitely be in Toronto tomorrow night. He welcomed everyone to the show and ran down tonight's card before thanking everyone for coming and headed to the back.

-The show proper finally opened with Ernesto Osiris (accompanied by Prince Nana) taking on Delirious. Delirious pulled out some cool now moves and combos I hadn't seen him use previously. Osiris doesn't get many chances to wrestle on main shows, so it was nice to see him get a chance and he held up his side pretty well. Delirious got the win with a cobra clutch/camel clutch combo for the submission.

- Eddie Edwards came out to introduce the Eddie Edwards 10 Minute Hunt and his opponent for tonight, Tyson Dux. The first half or so of the match was a feeling out process which comes off as kind of a time waster in a match with a 10 minute time limit to me. Edwards took over and Dux got some hope spots in at the end, but Eddie pinned him with his feet on the ropes with about 30 seconds remaining. Dux suckerpunched Eddie after the match was over.

- Colt Cabana defeated Shawn Daivari (with Prince Nana and Ernesto Osiris) by submission. This was a pretty standard Colt Cabana comedy match, Nana and Osiris tried to interfere but Cabana fought them off and tapped Daivari out to the Billy Goat's Curse.

- Roderick Strong defeated Pee Wee in a surprisingly competitive match. Roderick was supposed to be Davey Richards' opponent tonight but obviously that was out so Pee Wee got the spot. I thought this was going to be Roderick just ripping through Pee Wee but Pee Wee actually got a lot of offense in before Roderick put him away with a running boot. Roderick was in full on heel mode for this one.

-Bobby Cruise introduced a wrestler from the University of Buffalo who broke his neck and then was able to walk up and get his diploma two months later. The kid got a nice round of applause and a "you are awesome" chant.

- ROH World Tag Team Champions The Kings Of Wrestling defeated Up In Smoke is a highly competitive match where Cheech & Cloudy came really close several times to upsetting the KOW, including one spot where they got 2.99999999 with a superkick/Code Red combo on Claudio. They took everything the KOW threw at them and kept fighting their hearts out until the KOW hit Cloudy with the KRS-ONE for the win. Cheech & Cloudy got a big standing ovation after the match.

- After intermission, Bobby Cruise introduces Ilio DiPaolo's son and also the Destroyer, who thanked the crowd for coming. Nobody seemed to know who they were.

- Bryan Danielson's music hit and everybody went rushing up as close as they could get to the guardrail and out came...Austin Aries impersonating Danielson, with a maroon cape and even down to the same mannerisms. The crowd booed him, and he asked if they were expecting someone else, and if the Greates Man Who Ever Lived wasn't good enough for them. Kenny Omega's music hit and Aries jumped him on his way to the ring, leading right into...

- Kenny Omega defeated Austin Aries. This wasn't as good as their match back in October, but was still really good. Omega got a near fall after hitting his Electric Chair/German Suplex combo but Aries got his foot on the ropes, but Omega hit it a second time and got the win. Kenny King and Rhett Titus ran out and attacked Omega after the match, but the Briscoes ran out to make the save, leading even further right into...

-The All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) defeated Jay & Mark Briscoe. This was a really solid, if somewhat formulaic match. Aries came back out with his sunglasses, pipe, and smoking jacket, and as the Briscoes went for the Doomsday Device, Aries got up on the apron and blew smoke in Mark's face. Mark nailed him, but then Titus rammed Jay into Mark and rolled him up with a handful of tights for the win. Jay and Mark argued after the match and Jay left without Mark.

-The main event saw ROH World Champion Tyler Black defeat Steve Corino in a non-title match. Corino cut a long prematch promo insulting several people in the crowd, and then telling Tyler Black that his win over Aries was a fluke, while Corino is a legend, and Kevin Steen's going to take the ROH Title from him and then long after Tyler's gone, Corino's still going to be there because he's a legend. He then tells Tyler to hand over the ROH Title so he can deliver it to Steen tomorrow night. Tyler hands him the title and then suckerpunched him to start the match. This was a pretty hard fought match with both men laying in some pretty stiff shots. Corino spent the match working over Tyler's knee and had him in the figure four for quite a long time, but Tyler got out and went on to completely no-sell the knee injury, giving Corino an F5, three superkicks, a powerbomb into the turnbuckle, and yet a fourth superkick for the win. There was a funny moment after the match where Corino was still down in the ring after Tyler left and appeared injured, so Adam Pearce and referee Todd Sinclair went to check on him, but Corino shoved them away, infuriating Sinclair to the point where he kicked Corino in the gut and gave him a stunner, then gave Pearce a stunner and then standing on the turnbuckles in the corner playing to the crowd.

Overall a solid show, nothing blowaway but I would guess they're saving the best stuff for tomorrow night instead of killing everyone two nights in a row. I would estimate attendance at around 500 or so, though I'm not always the best judge. No return date was announced.

Kevin Steen beat El Generico (16:51) with an avalanche-style Northern Lights bomb.

The All-Night Express (Kenny King & Rhett Titus) beat Up In Smoke (Cheech & Cloudy) (8:47) when King pinned Cloudy after the One Night Stand.

Delirious beat Austin Aries (13:05) via DQ when Kenny King and Rhett Titus interfere.

- Post Match: Delirious fights off all three men.

2nd Annual Toronto Gauntlet

~ Tyson Dux defeats Eddie Edwards with a cradle pin.

~ Shawn Daivari defeats Tyson Dux by countering a suplex into a lateral press @ 16:31.

~ Colt Cabana defeats Shawn Daivari with the Billy Goat's Curse @ 17:25.

~ Colt Cabana defeats Steve Corino with a crucifix hold @ 22:29.

~ Roderick Strong defeats Colt Cabana via pin (after interference from Truth Martini) @ 28:05.

Between matches, El Generico attacks Kevin Steen in the ring. Corino is out, but Cabana makes the save. Generico takes Steen out with a brainbuster and chokes him out with ring announcer Bobby Cruise’s tie.

Pick 6 Contender’s Match

(2) “Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels beat Kenny Omega (16:47) with the Best Moonsault Ever.

Kings of Wrestling are out for their match, but the Briscoes have not yet arrived. Castagnoli thanks Canada for not letting the Briscoes in. Hero is disappointed, because now they can’t prove their superiority… and the Briscoes suddenly arrive.

ROH World Tag Team Championship Match

The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) © beat Jay & Mark Briscoe (17:25) when Hero pinned Jay after a giant swing / loaded boot combo to retain.

ROH World Championship

No DQ Match

Tyler Black © beat Davey Richards (34:44) with a wrist-clutch God’s Last Gift to retain.

Black. The All-Night Express (mark out за името) също имат някакво развитие, дано скоро достигнат претендентство, въпреки че не ги виждам като шампиони, сравнени с лица като KoW.

"Everywhere I go people stop and ask me, ‘Portia, how did you do it? How did you manage to beat Nikki Roxx so very many times?' And I look at them and say, ‘Kid, get the hell away from me, I'm trying to eat a waffle here."

Oh, well…

Daivari... Super Smash Bros.

- ако някой извън шестимата получи мач с някой от шестимата, при победа му заема мястото, а победеният директно изпада от класацията, без да има размествания;

- в случай на мач между двама от шестимата и този по-долу спечели, двамата си разменят местата;

- ако някой от шестимата получи мач за титлата и го изгуби, той веднага изпада от класацията – какво става с мястото му, пребий ме, не знам;

- ако някой извън шестимата спечели място сред тях без да побеждава друг (като Roderick Strong, който спечели gauntlet, за да е №1), останалите се изместват с място по-надолу, демек шестия отпада;

Ring of Honor and booker Adam Pearce parted ways earlier today in what sources told me was a decision made by ROH owner Cary Silkin. Pearce took over the book for the promotion in October 2008 after the departure of Gabe Sapolsky.

One source has told me that Delirious, with heavy input from Jim Cornette, will be handling the booking for the company going forward. I have not 100% confirmed that but it is making the rounds.

I have left word for both Cary Silkin and Adam Pearce and hope to get some sort of official comment from either when possible.

7. Steve Corino defeated Jeff Eastley.

Post Match: Corino said he was going to go to the hotel and do a little "boom boom" which prompted Colt Cabana to come out. The two brawled and Corino hit Cabana with a chain.

8. Roderick Strong (#1) defeated Steve Corino in a Pick Six Series Match.

9. Tyler Black defeated Eddie Edwards in a non-title Champion's Challenge when he pinned him with his feet on the ropes.

Post Match: Black tried a beatdown on Edwards, but Davey Richards makes the save. The American Wolves doubleteam Black and throw him from the ring.

Ring of Honor – Charlotte, NC

1. El Generico beat Erick Stevens w/ Prince Nana (8:22) with a brainbuster.

2. Steve Corino beat Bobby Dempsey (around 10 minutes) with a low blow and a lariat.

3. Necro Butcher w/ Prince Nana beat Grizzly Redwood (7:24) with a tiger driver.

4. Eddie Edwards beat Colt Cabana (11:43) with a picture perfect O'Connor roll.

5. Bravado Brothers & Cedric Alexander beat Caleb Konley & Man Scout & Marker Dillinger with a combo German suplex deal from the Bravados on Konley.

6. Pick Six Challenge: Roderick Strong (#1) beat Kevin Steen (#3) w/ Steve Corino (around 15 minutes) with a sick kick.

7. Ultimate Endurance Match: Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli) © beat the Briscoe Brothers, The All Night Express (Rhett Titus & Kenny King) and The Dark City Fight Club (Kory Chavis & Jon Davis) (28:28).

~ 1st Fall – Four Corners Survival: Rhett Titus pinned Jon Davis to eliminate the DCFC.

~ 2nd Fall – Texas Tornado Rules: Jay Briscoe pinned Rhett Titus after the Doomsday Device to eliminate the All Night Express.

~ 3rd Fall - ROH Tag Team Title Match: Chris Hero pinned Jay Briscoe with a roaring elbow to retain.

- Cornette did mic work designed to get more heat on Black for refusing to do a title match. It worked. He said the match was signed as non-title before Black's extracurricular activities came to light and called Richards/Black from Toronto the best match he had seen since Flair/Steamboat in 89. Black said he was feeling frisky, but it was a swerve. Black said he was leaving this shithole and taking the belt with him. Black's heel stuff was well played.

8. Davey Richards beat Tyler Black (26:39) with the Cloverleaf.

Austin Aries?!

Shane f'n Hagadorn.

Cabana vs.TJP –

1. Kenny King & Rhett Titus def. Adam Cole & Kyle O'Reilly with a Doomsday powerbomb combination.

2. Colt Cabana def. TJ Perkins with a sunset flip.

3. Sara Del Rey & Serena Deeb def. Amazing Kong & Daizee Haze when Del Rey hit 2 piledrivers on Haze.

4. Eddie Edwards def. Sonjay Dutt with the 2K1.

5. Homicide def. Christopher Daniels with the Cop Killa.

6. Jay, Mark & Papa Mike Briscoe def. Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli & Shane Hagadorn – Mike did a doomsday device on Hagadorn for the pin.

7. ROH World Title Match: Roderick Strong © def. Davey Richards via referee stop (Stronghold).

8. Mask vs. Career, Fight Without Honor: El Generico def. Kevin Steen with a chair shot.

All Night Express, Kenny King & Rhett Titus vs. Adam Cole & Kyle O'Reilly.

King pinned Cole after a blockbuster and power bomb double team combination. Good opener.. Fans enjoyed it and did "This is awesome" chants after some fast action spots.

T.J. Perkins vs. Colt Cabana.

Cabana with a sunset flip in a techncial match.

Daizee Haze & Awesome Kong vs. Sara Del Rey & Serena Deeb.

Haze kicked out of a Royal Butterfly by Del Rey. Del Rey used a piledriver but Kong saved. Deeb then speared Kong and Del Rey used a second piledriver to pin Haze. The crowd reacted to Kong like a big star, and Deeb to a degree with loud "C.M. Punk" chants. A lot better than most U.S. women's matches but I didn't get the sense the crowd sees it as that big of a deal as they were more into seeing Kong then the match itself.

Eddie Edwards vs. Sonjay Dutt.

Edwards won with the 2K1, siimilar to a fisherman buster, after a double foot stomp and power bomb. Another good match. Dutt didn't wrestle as fast as he used to in TNA, but solid work and plenty of flashy moves including trading big moves in the latter stages of the match.

Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas taped interview. They said in 2011 they would be regulars in ROH and vowed to win the tag team titles and prove themselves to be the best tag team in the world.

Christopher Daniels vs. Homicide

Crowd saw these two as big stars. Match was decent, but ending was abrupt and shorter than you'd think. The finish saw Daniels run into ref Paul Turner. Homicide pulled out a foreign object and nailed Daniels and then used the Gringo cutter for the pin. This was a non-title match but they didn't really push Homicide as challenging for the TV title, and when it was over teased a match with Daniels defending against Prodigy Mike Bennett with Brutal Bob Evans.

Briscoes with Papa Mike vs. Kings of Wrestling with Shane Hagadorn

The whole match was built around Mike getting back at Hagadorn. Mike did more than you'd expect. The crowd was not with him at all even with all the TV, booing him early. It was like a 60s angle that really wasn't playing, but by the end crowd got into him. Finish saw Mike come off the top rope as the clothesline giver for the Doomsday device on Hagadorn. Good match. The Kings are such a great team to carry things. Mike was the focal point that everything built around, including kissing Sara Del Rey at one point after she tripped him and he teased knocking her out.

Roderick Strong vs. Davey Richards for the title.

Excellent long match. They did a million near falls and near submissions back and forth. They did so many the crowd lost some momentum past a certain point and stopped believing in some of the finishes. Strong retained much to the dismay of the crowd. Strong with a suplex into a backbreaker, super kick, another kick and finally the Stronghold for the submission in 30:29. He passed out and the match was stopped. They said there's a possibility Richards had a concussion which appeared to be selling a storyline well. They did a deal where Richards had the match won and let go with the idea he had a concussion and got dizzy and gave it up. After, they were playing like Richards didn't even know he had lost the match.

Kevin Steen vs. El Generico in a lights out match

Another long match with a zillion near falls and kick outs. It got ridiculous in the sense they were kicking out of the most extreme moves there were and the kick outs were not getting big pops in the sense even the crowd started getting numbed by it. It told a story in the sense the feud began with a chair shot to the head and ended with a chair shot to the head. There were two ref bumps, brainbusters, package piledrivers on chairs, brainbusters onto the top turnbuckle. Basically everything under the sun, including both taking sick bumps on ladders, barricade shots. Both bled a lot with Steen bathing in Generico's blood. Steve Corino saved Steen at one point and then Colt Cabana ran off Corino. The finish saw Generico threaten with a chair shot with the chair that started the feud. At that point Steen begged for mercy and handed Generico the original mask he took off him. Generico teased having mercy, but then clocked Steen with a sick chair shot to the head for the pin. The booking of this match in using spots built up throughout the entire feud was absolutely tremendous. But on a long show, it went too long and you should never feel watching a main event "Okay, let's get it over," and in the last ten minutes I had that feeling many times. They had to go on last with the match they had. So Steen has to leave ROH and he may be getting the knee surgery he's been needing for some time.

Edwards v. Daniels v.

ROH Live Event - 1/14/11 - Richmond, VA results

~ Roderick Strong out to begin. Calls Daniels the weak link in the main event. Daniels is out to refute Strong... and the first match of the year for ROH is:

1. ROH World TV Champion Christopher Daniels over ROH World Champion Roderick Strong via roll-up.

~Kings were out mid-match to stop them from fighting. Daniels ended up forcing them out and got the win.

3. Challenge Match: "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett over Adam Cole following a Bucklebomb and a Half-Nelson Slam in a good match.

~ Kings of Wrestling hit the ring. State that 2 of the 'All-Stars' need to fight to "make it even." Generico and Davey come out. Davey says it is stupid and that he'll kick the crap out of KOW later. KOW attack them and talk about evening the odds "another way." Briscoes hit the ring to make the save.

4. Grudge Match: "The Notorious 187" Homicide over "Addicted to Love" Rhett Titus via Brainbuster

~Rhett bled after a headbutt, following a barrage of slaps and strikes.

~Steve Corino out after intermission.

He says he's been wrong for the last 17 years and he, not El Generico, is responsible for Kevin Steen being gone from ROH. He drove Steen crazy.

Now, in 2011, he's going to turn over a new leaf and not let what happened to Steen ever happen to anyone else under his watch.  Says, "My name is Steve Corino and I'm an evil person...but I'm going to change that." Calls out Caleb Konley and offers to help him on right path.

5. Challenge Match: Steve Corino over Caleb Konley in a good, competitive match.

6. Challenge Match: Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana over Caprice Coleman a hilarious, back and forth match with good sportsmanship. Please Come Back chants for Coleman.

7. Challenge Match: "Pretty Boy Pitbull" Kenny King over Kyle O'Reilly in a great match. End was a King reversal of an O'Reilly submission attempt and hitting a high angle suplex.

8. Champions vs. All-Stars Eight Man Tag Team Match: Davey Richards, El Generico and Jay & Mark Briscoe over ROH World Champion Roderick Strong, ROH World Television Champion "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and ROH World Tag Team Champions The Kings of Wrestling: "That Young Knock Out Kid" Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli w/ Shane Hagadorn when Mark Briscoe pinned Christopher Daniels after a top rope elbow in a 35+ minute match that was really, really good.
