nWoHulkster
Не че нямам желание, защото желание определено имам, но нямам необходимото свободно време да следя и Dragon Gate по-активно. Обаче, винаги задължително поглеждам за какво иде реч, когато дойде време за най-голямото им шоу за годината. Това време дойде и ето така изглежда card-a за шоуто: 7/27/2008 Hyogo, Kobe World Hall~ Dragon Gate Kobe Pro Wrestling Festival 2008 1. Akira Tozawa, Yuki Ono & El Generico vs. Super Shisa, Shisa BOY & K-ness 2. Stalker Ichikawa Bosou 10 Match Series: Hollywood Stalker Ichikawa vs. The Great Sasuke 3. Taku Iwasa & Keni'chiro Arai vs. Cyber Kong & TAKEMURA 4. Open the Brave Gate: m.c.KZ vs. Genki Horiguchi 5. Open the Twin Gate: Ryo Saito & Susumu Yokosuka vs. NOSAWA Rongai & MAZADA 6. Open the Triangle Gate 4 Way 6 Man: YAMATO, Yasushi Kanda & Gamma vs. Naruki Doi, Masato Yoshino & Naoki Tanisaki vs. Dragon Kid, Anthony W. Mori & PAC vs. Masaaki Mochizuki, Don Fujii & Magnitude Kishiwada 7. Open the Dream Gate: Shingo Takagi vs. BxB Hulk И за финал ето една статийка, която обяснява защо шоуто е доста важно за Dragon Gate: The Road To World The most important one Dragon Gate has ever travelled… There have been name changes, ownership changes, roster changes, retirements and expulsions for the promotion that has evolved from Toryumon Japan to it’s current manifestation, Dragon Gate. However since the doors of the Ultimo Dragon Gym gym opened back in the mid-late 90’s, there has been one constant – CIMA. The prize student of the original class, became the ace of Toryumon Japan and then not only the ace of Dragon Gate, but the man who pretty much does everything behind the scenes as well. He’s been the top heel, the top face, the champion, you name it. Some may say that in the last year or so CIMA has become somewhat stale, but this has not been reflected in the business the company has done. Dragon Gate has been on fire in terms of both popularity and product. The top star is still beloved by the home fans and is clearly a big drawing card. This is a fact that CIMA is clearly well aware of because for the last 9 months, he has wrestled through a neck injury which is very very serious. This obviously shows that CIMA feels that it is absolutely necessary for him to be on every show if the company is to keep up its current momentum. Just as importantly, it shows that he may not have the trust in possible successors to be comfortable handing the company off to them. Around about two months ago, CIMA’s neck had become so bad that there was no longer a choice in the matter. He took time off with the idea that he’s be back in a couple of week and be ready to go for the promotions biggest show of the year, July 27th at Kobe World Hall. ”World” is Dragon Gate’s Wrestlemania and there was no way CIMA was going to miss it. That was the plan anyway. The reality has been that his neck has not recovered as he had hoped and it is still in extremely bad shape. Thus last week, the Open The Dream Gate title was vacated and the men who were battling for #1 contendership and a shot against CIMA at World will now wrestle each other for the vacant belt. Those men are BxB Hulk and Shingo. Unquestionably the standouts of their 2004 graduating class, they have improved by leaps and bounds and are now two of the best and most popular performers in the company. But are they ready to carry the promotion in the way CIMA has for 10 years, and will the fans embrace them in that role? Time and time again in Japanese pro wrestling potential aces were not accepted at the top of the company because the fans didn’t see them as being ready. It will be months before these questions can be answered for sure, but World can certainly provide a great indication. The two things to look at will be: 1) What kind of attendance will the show draw? The 2006 and 2007 World shows did big numbers at the gate. If 2008 can do something similar that will be a big stamp of approval from the fans for Shingo and BxB. 2) How will the match turn out? Shingo and BxB have been involved in some classic matches this year, but for the most part they have been tags (the Dragon Gate specialty). Will they be able to produce a classic singles match with bigtime pressure on their shoulders? Personally I have a lot of faith that they will and I cannot wait to see it. Dragon Gate is a promotion unlike any other in Japan. The macro environment in which they operate doesn’t seem the effect their business. For example, right now the Japanese wrestling business is in a less than desirable state but Dragon Gate are thriving. Their fans are Dragon Gate fans, not pro wrestling fans. That is a key distinction, because it means that they have great loyalty to that one company and are willing to support it in every way possible. If they accept Shingo, BxB or both, as aces of the company, then the future will be very bright regardless of how CIMA’s injury woes turn out. If they don’t, then CIMA will probably rush himself back sooner than he should and may be more untrustworthy when it comes to handing over the reigns in the future. July 27th will be a very important date for Dragon Gate, and I for one hope it’s the start of a new era of prosperity. Quote Link to comment

nWoHulkster
Чакам да излезнат малко по-подробни резултати и тогава ще ги пусна, а междувременно можете да прочетете това preview: World Preview 1. Akira Tozawa, Yuki Ono, El Generico vs. Super Shisa, Shisa BOY, K-ness -Standard opening fare, with Generico wrapping up his first semester as a Tozawajuku student. Tozawa going on a diet didn't sit well with Ono, so once again the chance for dissention there exists. Like most modern day DG PPV openers this one should go by fast. 2. Stalker Ichikawa Bosou 10 Match Series: Hollywood Stalker Ichikawa vs. The Great Sasuke --5 years since their last meeting at World 2003. I have a suspicion this will end up as ICHIKAWA vs. SASUKE. 3. Taku Iwasa, Keni'chiro Arai vs. Cyber Kong, TAKEMURA --AraIwa had hoped to be going for a 2 crown title win here, but losing the Twin Gate contedership and Triangle Gate in rapid succession leaves them with this. Kong has been on a roll as of late, so the chance for an upset to continue the AraIwa bad luck is very possible. 4. Open the Brave Gate: m.c.KZ vs. Genki Horiguchi --After the Gamma Gate shenanigans, we get yet another ground zero Brave Gate decision match. KZ and Genki don't have much momentum coming in, as they both are the general loss post for their units. This is KZs' first high profile match so he surely will want to show off both what brought him to the top of the NEX class and what he learned in Mexico to establish himself on the main roster. 5. Open the Twin Gate: Ryo Saito, Susumu Yokosuka vs. NOSAWA Rongai, MAZADA --Puzzling decision for the Twin Gate World showcase. Tokyo Gurentai don't pose much of a threat on paper, so this could really be the weak point in both the Twin Gate defense history and on the card. 6. Open the Triangle Gate 4 Way 6 Man: YAMATO, Yasushi Kanda, Gamma vs. Naruki Doi, Masato Yoshino, Naoki Tanisaki vs. Dragon Kid, Anthony W. Mori, PAC vs. Masaaki Mochizuki, Don Fujii, Magnitude Kishiwada --Another match that has seen 5 years elapse since it was last on display. The 2003 4 Way 6 man is one of the most famous matches in Dragon System history. With this being the first CIMA-less World and a major turning point in company history, Real Hazard vs. WORLD 1 vs. Typhoon vs. Zetsurins will have to showcase what Dragon Gate is all about just as Crazy MAX vs. Italian Connection vs. M2K vs. Do FIXER did for Toryumon Japan. 7. Open the Dream Gate: Shingo Takagi vs. BxB Hulk --That major turning point in company history I mentioned? This would be it. The battle for the future of Dragon Gate. Again we can look back 5 years ago, when CIMA and Magnum TOKYO finally headlined World 2003 in a singles match to determine the ace. Magnum is gone now, and CIMAs' injury casts a cloud over his future. In their place we get their respective pupils now battling for the spot of new ace. Shingo has 2 failed attempts on the Dream Gate, Hulk failed in his only prior title shot. With Hayabusa becoming a regular face in the DG world, Hulk has also began to adapt some of the legendary juniors' trademarks into his arsenal, in particular the Phoenix Splash. Shingo counters with what he has always countered with, brute strength, but also now with the returning viciousness that heel Shingo brings. The last time the ace spot of DG was put up for grabs without CIMA, Magnum, or Mochizuki involved was King of Gate 2005 between Ryo and Susumu.Their generation proved to not be up to the task. Now it's up to the first 2 Dragon Gate trueborns to prove thast they are. The future of Dragon Gate depends on it. Quote Link to comment

After a brief argument, RH attacked Shingo and kicked him out of the group for showing compassion to Hulk and CIMA. Typhoon made the save, and invited Shingo to join. He declined, but after some back and forth negotiating, he will team with Kid in the Summer Adventure Tag League. Quote Link to comment
shile
