След като Chuck Liddell получи контузия и ще пропусне шоуто новият main event ще бъде Matt Hughes (42-6-0) срещу Thiago Alves (14-3-0). Tова бе обявено на сайта на Hughes. Независимо от изхода на мача следващият опонент на Hughes ще бъде Matt Serra.
